Mino Raiola is pushing for Paul Pogba to leave Manchester United to avoid losing his best client to another agent.

That’s according to Sport BILD journalist Christian Falk, who says the renowned super-agent is working to keep the Frenchman on board after a failed move to Real Madrid.

Raiola this week insisted that Pogba would be leaving Old Trafford in the near future, stating that his client would not be signing a new deal at the club, with his current one set to expire in June 2022.

That means he will be in the final year of his deal next summer, essentially forcing Manchester United into a sale to avoid losing him the following year.

That sale is looking increasingly likely to happen next summer, with Pogba’s standing in Manchester continuing to fall and many feeling a separation would be best for all parties.

The recent comments from Raiola came somewhat out of the blue, though, and Falk believes it is all part of a wider aim to keep Pogba as a client.

“Pogba is extremely unhappy, that’s no secret,” he told SportBILD.

“It now seems like they already have something up their sleeve, but that’s not true.

“Pogba considers his agent partly to blame for him not ending up at Real Madrid, and when he sees what he earned from the move to Manchester United, he thinks maybe it wasn’t only a sporting decision to go there.

“Raiola now needs to strive and find him a new club, preferably his dream club Real.

“Otherwise the agent will have to lead the player to another agent, which is why Raiola has to do a bit of campaigning now.”
