Manchester United and Atalanta have lines of communication well and truly open after a couple of big pieces of business in recent years.
Two first-team players in Erik ten Hag’s side arrived from Atalanta – Amad Diallo and Rasmus Hojlund.
There could be another player from Atalanta on the way to Old Trafford – if not this summer then perhaps some months later.
Alfredo Pedulla has reported on that for SportItalia, stating that Manchester United have an interest in La Dea midfielder Ederson.
Taking advantage of that, they asked for information regarding the Brazilian midfielder, with the contact described as ‘cordial’.
The possibility is the move will be discussed in the next few months and contacts will continue for Ederson, who has been impressive for La Dea since arriving from Salernitana.
The relations between the two clubs are described as ‘excellent’ by Pedulla.
