With Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United being linked to Borussia Dortmund’s Donyell Malen, their chances are now commented on by German journalist Florian Plettenberg.
The Sky Deutschland reporter writes on X that the player wants to leave the Bundesliga side this summer, giving the interested sides a big boost for a potential transfer.
Now even though Manchester United have been reported as one of the suitors, Plettenberg says the Red Devils are ‘not seriously pushing’ for his signing at this stage.
There’s a different situation with Arsenal and Liverpool, though, as they’re labelled ‘more concrete options’ for the player, as well as other, as yet unnamed, Premier League clubs.
While Borussia Dortmund get prepared for the summer bids, it’s said that ‘all parties’ currently value him between €40m and €50m.
The winger is having a positive season in German, with 13 goals and five assists in 33 appearances, and still has a contract there until 2026.
Now it seems his wish to leave could be a ‘come and get me’ message for Arsenal and Liverpool, while Manchester United still figure out their plans for the summer window.
