Manchester United, Manchester City and Barcelona are all chasing Paris Saint-Germain’s Manuel Ugarte this summer.
The midfielder is currently with Uruguay, who have made it to the Copa América semi-finals after overcoming Brazil at the weekend.
Last month, a source told Sport Witness that the 23-year-old is on the Red Devils’ list. On June 28th, Uruguay Fichajes stated he would love to play for Manchester United, who are seen as an ideal destination by his entourage.
Le10 Sport pick up on that and add that Manchester United are joined by Manchester City and Barcelona in the race to sign Ugarte.
Having arrived at Parc des Princes from Sporting last summer, he struggled to impress under Luis Enrique’s orders. The Uruguay international was able to showcase his qualities at the Copa América, which hasn’t gone unnoticed.
Manchester United, Pep Guardiola’s side and Barcelona have all positioned themselves as it’s claimed these three sides have ‘made concrete moves’ to try and secure his services.
Enrique will have to make a decision on whether to have him in his squad or let the South American leave this summer. According to Le10, the coach will decide on Ugarate’s future.
