Wednesday’s edition of Marca has Paul Pogba and Christian Eriksen splash across the front page.

The idea is that Manchester United signing the Tottenham player would then make it likelier they’d allow Pogba to leave the club for Real Madrid, potentially after the transfer window has closed for Premier League sides.

Inside, Marca go further.

It was AS who have been pushing United efforts for Eriksen, along with some English claims, and Marca say they’ve been able to confirm that chatter.

Manchester United have ‘launched’ an effort to sign the Spurs player, according to the claims, and that effort has come in ‘recent hours’.

Eriksen has less than a year left on his contract with Tottenham and has already rejected efforts to get him to sign a renewal. Therefore, the club wouldn’t look too badly at a sale this summer, as long as they could get a replacement in.

Tuesday saw claims from Spain of a potential loan move for Philippe Coutinho, there are still claims in Portugal of Bruno Fernandes interest, and the Giovani Lo Celso track could be alive again.
