On Friday, Gazzetta dello Sport reported Fiorentina are waiting for Manchester United to make an improved offer for Sofyan Amrabat.
The Red Devils aren’t the only option for the midfielder as he could move to Bayern Munich, according to Florian Plettenberg.
He states Erik ten Hag admires the 26-year-old and ‘talks have taken place’ between the two. However, Amrabat has ‘no final agreement’ with Manchester United.
Plettenberg adds the player’s camp are monitoring the situation at the Bundesliga side as they are aware that Thomas Tuchel wants a new No.6. The journalist adds Bayern have Amrabat in their target list, if this information is genuine it feels like it’s coming from the player’s camp.
La Repubblica, relayed by Viola News, state that in the background, there’s the possibility for the midfielder to be sold. Manchester United get a mention as they ‘remain in the front row’.
It’s said Amrabat has ‘already reached an agreement’ with the Red Devils. Fiorentina are now waiting for the formal offer of around €25m plus bonuses from Manchester United.
The report states no offers have arrived at the Italian club just yet but ‘there may be an acceleration soon’ to sell the Moroccan.
