Having tracked Lucas Bergvall for many years, Manchester United aren’t ready to let him go to another club that easily.

This is what Fussball News in Germany are reporting, as they claim the Red Devils are providing competition to other interested clubs, like Eintracht Frankfurt and Borussia Dortmund.

Manchester United are said to be ‘very hot’ in the race to sign the Djurgården youngster, and have ‘continued to put out feelers’ for the player, who will turn 18 just after the transfer window shuts.

He knows the club well, and is ‘very fond’ of them, seeing as he has already been on trial twice then he was 14.

Right now, it’s said Manchester United would only deal in loans in January because of the ownership issue, and will only buy players in the summer.

That suits Bergvall, who is a ‘fan of the club’, but isn’t in a rush to move, meaning that a ‘quick decision is not expected at the moment’ as he is ‘willing to wait a while’ before making a decision.

The belief is that anyone who does want the youngster, whether it be Manchester United or anyone else, will need to pay a fee of around €8-10m.
