Manchester United’s move for Jadon Sancho should be completed before the end of Euro 2020 this summer.

That’s according to Sport 1, who say all the parties involved in the deal are ‘confident’ it will be happening during the tournament.

Manchester United have been closing in on a move for Sancho over the last week, with positive noises out of England and Germany regarding the move.

They appear to be getting to closer to Borussia Dortmund’s asking price for Sancho, which has dropped from the €100m+ they demanded last summer.

Sport 1 back that, via journalist Patrick Berger, and say that while there is no agreement as yet, it is ‘just a matter of time’ before that happens.

According to their information, the financial gap between Manchester United and Dortmund is not in ‘double figures’ anymore and, as a result, all parties involved are confident a deal will happen ‘during Euro 2020’.

There is no mention of the medical side of things, so it remains to be seen how that will be conducted before Sancho can complete his move to Old Trafford.

Given he will be with England for the foreseeable future, it’s safe to assume that his medical would take place within the England camp.

Of course, that plan could change should Gareth Southgate’s side be knocked out by Germany on Tuesday evening so perhaps Manchester United are waiting until then to see what happens and plan accordingly.

Either way, it’s another positive report from Germany on a transfer that is increasingly becoming when and not if.
