Manchester United’s contacts with Denzel Dumfries’ representative are ‘still alive’ and they remain keen on signing the Dutch defender.
That’s according to Calciomercato, who say Dumfries’ agent, Rafaela Pimenta ‘is on a mission’ to find a €50m plus bonus offer for Inter.
The website explains that Dumfries is set to leave Inter at the end of the season, with the next six months potentially his last with the Serie A side.
He’s been linked with clubs all over Europe since the summer and ‘contacts’ with Chelsea, Bayern Munich and Manchester United are ‘still alive’. It’s felt that one from this small shortlist will be the Dutchman’s next destination.
That potential replacement could come from Belgium in the form of Club Brugge’s Tajon Trevor Buchanan, who is proving to be ‘very popular’ with those in charge.
He is valued at around €15m, a figure Inter could afford and ‘take note’ of.
They’ll only move if they sell Dumfries, though, and his agent is working to convince one of his suitors to make the €50m offer that Inter want.
Whether that will arrive from Manchester United is up for debate but they’re still talking to Pimenta and keen on Dumfries at this point.
