Regardless of all the movements around Thomas Tuchel lately, Manchester United and Chelsea are still named as the options for him this summer.
The manager has already rejected the chance to stay at Bayern Munich for another year, and as he becomes a free agent, Sky Deutschland journalist Florian Plettenberg shares some news on his future.
It’s now claimed that Tuchel decided to either take a break or move to the Premier League. And in case he does go to England, the two ‘possible and concrete’ options are Manchester United and Chelsea.
The report says that Red Devils and Blues started ‘loose talks’ for him, and it seems clear there’s nothing advanced at this stage.
Manchester United and Chelsea still have Erik ten Hag and Mauricio Pochettino in charge, so it seems they must sort their situations first before actually engaging in talks with a potential new manager.
Now while Tuchel chooses his next job, it appears clear he wants a return to the Premier League, especially because his desire to move to Old Trafford has been reported by the German media for months now.
