As has been reported a few times already, the Italian media no longer expects Manchester United to buy Sofyan Amrabat from Fiorentina at the end of the season.
Outlet Calciomercato today writes that even though the midfielder hoped to establish himself in the Premier League, that possibility has ‘already vanished’.
It’s said Manchester United, who already paid Fiorentina €9m for the season-long loan, have ‘now decided’ against buying him for other €20m, plus €5m in bonuses.
The website points out that Amrabat failed to impress for the Red Devils, and since he’s been getting very little chances to play, it’s time to talk about his future.
There’s the possibility that Fiorentina end up selling him to another Italian club, as Juventus are those said to be ‘interested’, although they’d first want a loan.
Regarding AC Milan, even though they’ve been keen on his signing in the past, they’re now said to be evaluating other options.
What Calciomercato are pretty sure about is that Amrabat is not staying at Manchester United, where he made 22 appearances for the club this season, and we’ll have to wait and see if he’ll get any more chances.
