As we have pointed out in the past, reports in Italy are claiming that Manchester United are interested in Francesco Camarda, currently at AC Milan.
The 16-year-old has become one of the hottest properties on the market in Serie A, as the young striker is currently without a professional contract despite being of age to sign one.
Gazzetta dello Sport cover the situation on Monday, and recall that Manchester United are one of many big European clubs interested in Camarda.
This all comes after the forward scored two goals for Italy’s U17s against Belgium at the weekend, putting him once again on the radar with his performances.
Despite turning 16 earlier on this year, the decision was made to not sign a new deal with Milan just yet, as doing so at the end of the season would allow them to draft it until 2027 instead of 2026.
The logic is there, but it also opens up the door to other clubs, like Manchester United, to make their moves to try and convince him to stray from his San Siro path.
He cannot move to England until he turns 18 because of post-Brexit rules, meaning any effort to get him would have to see him agree to a deal to move then.
That’s why despite being only 16, he has the ‘attention span’ of a 20-year-old and will need to make a decision in the coming months: staying at Milan or ‘change his life’ by going abroad.
