While Real Madrid might want to sign Erling Haaland from Manchester City down the line, they will first go after Filippa Angeldahl from Manchester City Women.
That’s according to Aftonbladet, who report that despite interest from Arsenal Women, it’s the La Liga giants who will get their hands on the midfielder.
It’s made clear the Manchester City Women star ‘is ready’ to make the move to Madrid despite her current club wanting to extend her deal.
They claim ‘it is clear’ she will be leaving England once the season comes to an end, as ‘all the details’ are ready for her to switch clubs, even if it’s still unclear when the deal will be announced.
As mentioned above, it was reported on our shores that Arsenal wanted to try and keep her in the Women’s Super League, but that will not be the case.
She will instead leave Manchester City Women’s to head to Real Madrid, where she will join up with her compatriot Freja Olofsson.
Therefore, Arsenal Women will have to look elsewhere to bolster their midfield.
