Fotospor claim Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is keen to strengthen his defence by bringing in Leicester City’s Caglar Soyuncu, but the player is looking to stay with the Foxes at least until the end of the season.
The Turkish international has become a regular in Brendan Rodgers’ starting eleven following his woes last season and has helped Leicester City into third place after six games.
After injuries to Aymeric Laporte and John Stones, Guardiola is keen to sign a central defender in the January transfer window, with Soyuncu said to be a target. In the past two matches the Spaniard has had to use Fernandinho in defence.
Fotospor claim Manchester City officials are now looking to talk with Soyuncu’s entourage in the near future but any possible move to the Etihad is only likely to happen next summer.
The 23 year old has taken advantage of the departure of Harry Maguire in the summer and it seems he will be a key player for Leicester City in this campaign.
