When Manchester City signed Marlos Moreno from Atletico Nacional back in 2016, it really seemed like they were getting of the biggest talents in South America.
The winger had just won a Copa Libertadores following an incredible campaign with the Colombian side, and was one of the best players in that team.
But things are still to work out for him in Europe. Since joining Manchester City, he’s been loaned out to Deportivo La Coruña, Girona, Flamengo, Santos Laguna and Portimonense.
Now it seems he could moving to Brazil, since Coritiba are reportedly in talks for his signing.
Yahoo journalist Jorge Nicola says he’s heard from a ‘very influential agent’ that there have been negotiations between Coritiba and Manchester City for a loan until the end of the Brazilian season.
The signing is considered to be hard, because the Premier League side would have to continue paying for part of his salary, and Moreno still has a good market in Europe.
The winger’s contract with Manchester City expires next year, so a loan now would mean they have no further hopes for him at the club.
