Back in September, some news started showing up saying Manchester City would have started talks to give Gabriel Jesus a new contract at the club.

Sport Witness spoke to the player’s agent Cristiano Simões at the time, who claimed that there was ‘nothing so far’.

But it seems now things got to them, at least according to what Brazilian outlet UOL is reporting today.

The website claims that both Gabriel Jesus and his representative were told by Manchester City about the intention to renew his deal in his first year at the club.

City reportedly believe the player was too cheap for the current market’s standards, and his quick impact convinced them to give him a quick renewal.

Besides Jesus, there would be three other renewals in the pipeline. Manchester City would like to extend the deals of David Silva and Fernandinho, and also give Kevin De Bruyne a pay rise.

UOL have been on the money on most of the Manchester City stories, so this is one to be believed.
