Everton and Newcastle United would be signing “the best winger in Argentine football” if they make a move for CA Talleres star Ramón Sosa.

That’s according to his current manager, who believes the player is destined for the Premier League and could be on his way once the Copa America is over.

Sosa has found himself in the middle of a growing transfer storm over the last few months, with several reports making it clear that he has interest from the Premier League.

Everton were the first to be linked, with his agent insisting in January that the Toffees had already been in contact about a potential move.

Newcastle were then later brought into the mix, with it explained that his agent is also the man who represents Miguel Almiron, making a move there a potentially easy one to get done.

Several reports over the last few weeks have both continued to credit Everton and Newcastle with an interest while his agent has continued to fuel the fire by insisting they’re working on a transfer.

That’s led to his current manager being questioned on the matter today, and he insists his star man is ready for the move, which he anticipates will happen this summer.

“He is the best winger in Argentine football,” Walter Ribonetto told TyC Sports.

“He shows it on a daily basis and in every competition. He has enormous potential, and they will surely come looking for him.

“As a coach I would always like to have him, but we know that it is difficult due to the conditions and quality that Ramón has.”
