Manchester City will provide tough competition to Serie A sides in the chase for Atalanta’s Giorgio Scalvini, according to Tuttosport.
Juventus are interested in the 19-year-old centre-back and maintain a desire to secure his services after this season.
The Turin club and Inter Milan are ready to battle it out for his signature but they have to ‘beware’ of the competition from abroad. This is when Bayern Munich and Manchester City are mentioned.
This would make it difficult for Juve to acquire the Italy international’s signature, at a time when there is uncertainty whether they will be able to play in the Champions League next season.
Scalvini made his senior team debut for Atalanta in October 2021 and has been a regular for them this season, making 23 appearances in all competitions.
Tuttosport state it is ‘unlikely that La Dea will still be in his future’, and therefore, Scalvini will be placed on the market and a quick move would be expected. Atalanta are demanding €40m to sanction the player’s sale in the summer.
