Manchester City have been in touch with Andre Silva’s agents about a possible move to the Etihad this summer.

That’s according to SportBILD, who say they are looking at the Portuguese striker as a replacement for Sergio Aguero.

The newspaper explains that despite missing out on the Champions League this season, Eintracht Frankfurt’s stars remain in demand.

Silva is at the top of the list, having plundered 28 goals in 32 games in the Bundesliga this season, a tally only bettered by Robert Lewandowski.

It’s a tally that has earned him plenty of recognition, as it should, and several big sides in Europe have all been linked with moves this summer.

Manchester City are among them, with Pep Guardiola seemingly determined to add an elite level striker to his squad after losing Aguero.

SportBILD say they have now ‘knocked on’ the door of Silva’s agency Gestifute, who are run by Jorge Mendes and represent several big stars such as Cristiano Ronaldo.

So far, those advisors have only spoken to Frankfurt’s former sports director Fredi Bobic about a possible departure, and Eintracht would like up to €40m if that were to happen.

His advisors are ‘entitled’ to around a quarter of that transfer fee, so its hinted the German side could push up the price given they’ll be losing some of it.

That’s not going to be a problem for Manchester City, of course, who appear to be already making overtures ahead of a possible move.
