Manchester City interest in star pushed again – Another club ‘very serious’ about player

CalcioNapoli24 reported on November 19th that Pep Guardiola is ‘in love’ with Fabián Ruiz.

A week later, Calciomercato explained the Manchester City manager likes the Napoli star and it was also stated the Premier League winners’ interest in the midfielder is ‘no longer a mystery’.

Apart from the Etihad club, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain have been credited with an interest in the Spain international.

Cadena Ser’s program El Larguero brings the latest advance on this case as they claim City and PSG are pushing for the 23-year-old, along with Los Blancos.

However, it’s the La Liga side who are ‘very serious’ about the player as emphasised by his entourage, and he also likes Real Madrid’s interest, even though City and PSG are bidding for him.

Fabián’s contract at Napoli runs duntil 2023 and the Serie A side are working on extending his contract so they can insert a high release clause.

Sources close to the former Real Betis man told Cadena Ser that renewal talks have stopped, which will only increase the speculation around his future.

Despite interest from Manchester City and PSG, it’s Real Madrid who are insisting most on signing Fabián. He is the priority target for the 13-time European champions and they have stepped up contacts with his camp.
