Manchester City’s ownership group, the City Group, have finalised a deal to sign Luka Andrade from Boca Juniors.
That’s according to journalist Cesar Luis Merlo, who reports that the City Group have secured their latest talent for the network of clubs.
The City Group is made up of a network of clubs around the world, with Manchester City at the top of the pile and the undoubted jewel in the crown.
They’ve made it a mission to scoop up talent from around the world, securing players from various locations before then sending them out on loan to develop and make work permits easier to secure in future.
The latest name to add to the list is Luka Andrade, who has been secured on a free transfer from Argentine giants Boca Juniors.
The 17-year-old will leave the club after failing to reach an agreement on a deal for a professional contract and he and his family have decided to move on.
That’s led him to the City Group, who have wrapped up a deal for him and will send him to one of their clubs in 2025. That’s unlikely to be Manchester City, but he’s a name to keep an eye on in the future, nonetheless.
