In December, Manchester City were linked with a move for Juventus goalkeeper Michele di Gregorio.
Such talk was then refuted by the Italian press, who seemed sure that the Bianconeri have no intention of sanctioning their player’s sale unless a massive offer turns up.
As Di Gregorio continues to impress between the sticks for the Old Lady, interest from Manchester City has now been reported again.
Journalist Paolo Bargiggia states Pep Guardiola’s side want a new goalkeeper in the summer and Di Gregorio is a prime target for them.
They are likely to make an attempt for the Italian in the next few months, and the journalist is confident that Ederson will depart the Etihad in the summer transfer window.
He’s also indicated that when Manchester City spoke to Juventus during their attempt for Andrea Cambiaso, they ‘alerted’ the Serie A side about their interest in the goalkeeper, who had arrived in Turin from Monza last summer.
Di Gregorio has played 27 times in all competitions this season and in his last season at Monza, he was awarded the ‘Goalkeeper of the Season’ award.
