Wolverhampton Wanderers fullback Nelson Semedo is set to receive some offers in the summer, according to reports today.
It’s Catalan outlet Sport who features a piece claiming that with his good performances, the 29-year-old has drawn the attention from AS Roma.
It’s said the Giallorossi are the ‘most interested’ club in his signing, with José Mourinho asking the club to sign him from Wolves.
Sport says the manager is a ‘loyal admirer’ of Semedo, and since he believes the right-back position is a priority for Roma next season, he wants the player in the summer.
The story, however, says the Serie A side don’t want to get involved in actions for the signing.
It’s pointed out that he has a market value of around €15m, and that amount ‘could go up’ in case other clubs get interested in him as well.
Semedo was signed by Wolves on a €32m deal from Barcelona in 2020.
His contract with the Molineux side expires this summer, but there’s an option to extend for a further two years, and the club will probably end up triggering that.
