Gaziantep manager Selçuk İnan has told the Turkish media he believes Galatasaray winger Baris Alper Yılmaz can go on to play for some of the biggest clubs in the world, including Arsenal and Liverpool.
The Turkey international has been linked with a move to the Premier League in the past week after reports of interest from Brighton & Hove Albion, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United.
Milligazete have reported on comments İnan made to NutSpor after Yılmaz impressed in his countries’ 2-1 victory over the Czech Republic last night.
The former Galatasaray player said he believes the 24-year-old needs to improve his final ball but has the potential to play in the Premier League.
“I think Baris Alper Yılmaz can play very comfortably for many teams in the Premier League at the moment. He’s a very special player. We worked a lot together. If Barıs Alper improves himself with his final ball, he can easily play for the best clubs in the world such as Barcelona, Real Madrid, Liverpool and Arsenal. He’s a player with a lot of potential. Hopefully, he will get that chance and represent them,” said İnan.
Only today we covered reports from Turkey that Tottenham and Manchester United sent scouts to watch him last night. It’s expected the two Premier League clubs will continue to monitor him.
There have also been recent claims Brighton have offered €20m for him.
He started 28 Super Lig games last season, scoring seven goals. Yılmaz is contracted to Galatasaray until June 2027.
