With Everton in desperate need for improvement in the final months of the season, many players have been linked to the Toffees in the past few days.
One of them is Marko Arnautovic, with the Italian media claiming the Goodison Park side got in touch with Bologna for the signing.
It’s recently even been claimed that the striker is the ‘number one’ target for Everton, who are considering making a bid for his signing.
Those rumours obviously made some noise at Bologna, and in a press conference, manager Thiago Motta was asked to speak on the matter.
The coach made it clear he’s not aware of the situation, and quickly dismissed the subject.
“I don’t know, he’s never said anything to me. Better ask Marko. He’s recovering, but we don’t have recovery time,” said Motta (via Sport Mediaset).
Arnautovic has years of experience in the Premier League after playing for Stoke City and West Ham United. In 2019, he moved to China, where he stayed for a couple of years, and then returned to Europe.
Featuring for Bologna this season, he has eight goals and one assist in 16 appearances. The injury mentioned by Motta is just a sprain, as the striker should be fit to play again in a week.
