Since his arrival from Hellas Verona, Brighton’s Diego Coppola has barely been given a chance to prove himself.

The defender has played only 17 minutes in the Premier League, with his last appearance coming back in October. Coppola is someone who was accustomed to playing regularly at Verona. He featured over 70 times over the last three Serie A seasons.

Quotidiano Sportivo cover interest from Bologna, who are playing in the Europa League. Vincenzo Italiano’s side are also fifth in Serie A, and some improvements could aid the end of this season.

Rossoblu sporting director Giovanni Sartori is a big fan of the Birhgotn defender. He tried to sign him at Atalanta and has also been keeping an eye on him for Bologna.

The club’s manager Italiano was keen on Coppola when in charge at Fiorentina and wants the Brighton player in January. The report claims that an initial enquiry has been made, with Bologna looking to improve their backline next month.

The 21-year-old has never played European football before. That is why a move to Italiano’s side would be tempting, especially considering he isn’t an important player at the Amex.

Being able to walk straight into the Europa League can be used as an attraction by Bologna.
