Manchester United can beat Barcelona to 21-year-old – Red Devils already moving

Last September, Sport stated Manchester United had already started moving to carry out a deal for AS Monaco’s Vanderson.

On April 26th, we covered a claim from RMC Sport the Red Devils have positioned themselves to sign the right-back in the summer.

Sport on Tuesday now back up Manchester United wanting to secure the 21-year-old’s services. They mention Erik ten Hag’s side in a report that explains Barcelona’s interest in the defender.

Deco, who currently manages Raphinha, is in line to become Barca’s sporting director. He could be a protagonist for some of the La Liga side’s potential signings, including that of the Ligue 1 fullback, in the summer.

Vanderson has pleased the Blaugrana’s technical leaders and Deco’s arrival could speed up his potential arrival at the Camp Nou. The Brazilian is managed by Giuliano Bertolucci and a deal would depend mainly on his agent.

Barca, who are determined to carry out the deal, would face competition from Manchester United as they are also interested in signing the defender.

Monaco are ‘willing to sell’ the player. Despite making progress, Xavi Hernández’s have to know the conditions to carry out the operation, likely because to their own financial situation.

Sport state Barcelona could sign Vanderson if the price suits them. Manchester United may not have to worry about this, if they wish to take him away from Monaco in the next window.
