On September 21st, we relayed news from Spain that Manchester United have ‘already begun to move to tie up’ Vanderson. They have joined Barcelona in chasing the player.

Later that day, Sport stated both the Red Devils and La Liga side contacted Monaco and ‘asked for a price’ for the right-back.

A latest report from the same newspaper on Thursday states the defender is ‘showered with offers’ from the Premier League, starting with Manchester United, who had ‘made a move’ for him in the summer.

Barca, for their part, view the Brazilian as a long-term bet as they believe he has the physique and quality to succeed at the Camp Nou. They will face competition from the Red Devils and others to secure his services.

The Blaugrana cannot match Manchester United and other English clubs financially and will withdraw if there is a bidding war for the fullback. If Vanderson wants to arrive at the Camp Nou, he will have to follow the example of his his compatriot, Raphinha.
