With Hannibal Mejbri excelling in Manchester United’s youth setups, it won’t be long before the midfielder finds himself in and around the first-team.

The Red Devils paid a relatively large sum for a player his age, showing their full belief in his ability to make it to the top, and he has demonstrated that perfectly since joining.

One of the questions marks about his future, however, was not one involving club football, but rather international football.

The 18-year-old, who was born in Ivry-sur-Seine in France, was also eligible to play for Tunisia, and despite featuring with France’s U16s and U17s, he will choose the North African country.

This is according to RMC Sport journalist Loïc Tanzi, who took to Twitter to explain the Manchester United starlet had ‘made his choice’ and ‘will play for Tunisia’.

As for the announced, he states Mejbri ‘will announce his decision officially in the coming days’.

While this doesn’t affect Manchester United directly, it will be a blow for the France setup, who will be remiss to see such a talent represent another country.
