On Saturday, Tuttosport stated Manchester United are ready to welcome both Rasmus Højlund and Sofyan Amrabat. Since then, claims in Italy and England have said the Red Devils have agreed a deal with Atalanta for the striker.
The Premier League side will now shift their focus to the midfielder, who’s keen to leave Fiorentina. Al-Ahli are also in the picture to sign him.
According to Alfredo Pedullà, the 26-year-old ‘gave priority’ to Manchester United after the approach made by the Saudi Arabian club.
Al-Ahli have been keen the player for several weeks and have offered him a higher salary. Despite this, the journalist states the Morrocco international favours Erik ten Hag’s side and ‘has an agreement’ with them.
Manchester United have been in talks with the Serie A side but Pedullà states they’ll have to get rid of some of their own players before launching an offensive to complete the deal.
Furthermore, Firenze Viola say the distance between the English club and Fiorentina over the valuation is ‘getting shorter’. The player, for his part, is keen on joining Manchester United.
This is reported by journalist Mario Tenerani, who says Amrabat’s transfer could take place this week. He adds it’s ‘decisive’ for his sale to ‘bring the money’ to Fiorentina, but makes no mention of any figures.
