As reported yesterday Galatasaray were expecting Manchester City defender Jason Denayer at the airport on Tuesday night along with Holland international Nigel de Jong, but only the former was seen at the Ataturk Airport.
Galatasaray fans are rightly worried with a fear of deal collapsing but Sporx understands the non-arrival indicates nothing as Denayer had to pick up some papers before travelling to Turkey.
The 21-year old will travel to Istanbul later today and will sign a one-year loan deal. The Turkish report indicates Denayer rejected Sunderland, and Swansea City were linked earlier in the window.
Galatasaray have been busy in the past few days after signing Kolbeinn Sightorsson from Nantes this week, and now a deal for Denayer looks very close.
The Belgian defender spent last season on loan at Galatasaray where he made 28 appearances. Denayer was part of the team which won the Turkish cup by beating fierce rivals Fenerbahce in the final.
