With the City Group always keeping an eye on South American talents, they’re now said to be back for Palmeiras starlet Wesley.
According to journalist Jorge Nicola, the group has ‘promised’ to make an official offer for the 21-year-old in the coming days.
Even though it’s not clear which club would land the striker, it’s obviously Manchester City who get their crest featured in the video’s thumbnail.
Jorge Nicola says the City Group had already negotiated for Wesley last year. They offered €2.3m for the transfer, and Palmeiras claimed they wouldn’t let him go for less than €3m.
The difference wasn’t that big, but the City Group backed off the deal, and probably regret having done that, as Wesley is now worth a lot more.
According to the journalist, the clubs have been negotiating and the transfer could be done for around €12m. New developments should rise up as soon as this official bid arrives at the Brazilian side.
Since the City Group are normally used to buying very cheap players, this amount would make it look like Wesley would have a chance to be tested by Manchester City in the future.
