Manchester United and Manchester City officials were in the stands to watch Fenerbahçe beat Akhisar Belediye 3-1. SporX report both scouts were there to watch Fenerbahçe’s Danish defender Simon Kjaer.

It’s been claimed Manchester United and Manchester City were present at the game, along with other clubs including Villarreal and Werder Bremen. It’s reported the two Manchester clubs were casting an eye over Denmark captain Kjaer.

Kjaer has been drawing attention from bigger European clubs than his own in the past 18 months, and the player was linked with Chelsea during the last winter window.

Sporx’s idea is Jose Mourinho and Pep Guardiola are thinking he can be an option for next season, but they face competition from Serie A giants Inter and AC Milan.

The Turkish club will demand around €15million for Kjaer which won’t be an issue for either Manchester Untied or Manchester City. The former Lille player is under contract with Fenerbahçe until 2019.
