Inter Milan will face competition from Manchester City and Liverpool in the race for VfL Wolfsburg’s Micky Van de Ven.
The centre-back has impressed this season and the Bundesliga side have rewarded him with an extension earlier this month. His new deal is until 2027.
Van de Ven’s renewal seems to have not put off Manchester City, Liverpool and other clubs. According to InterLive.it, the two English clubs, Inter, Barcelona, AC Milan and Juventus are all interested in the 21-year-old.
Regarding Manchester City and Liverpool, it’s said they are ‘trying’ to secure his services, along with Inter.
The Netherlands U21 international signing a new contract has seen his gross salary rise to €3m per year. His current market value is set at €30m.
These figures could make it difficult for Simone Inzaghi’s side to acquire his signature. On the other hand, Van de Ven’s current salary and valuation may not be an issue for the likes of Manchester City and Liverpool.
If the Premier League duo have a firm desire to sign the Dutchman, there are likely to be more reports on this topic in the coming weeks and months.
