Everton may have been handed their incentive to move for Roma striker Tammy Abraham this summer, with his price dropping from €75m to €40m.

That’s according to Calciomercato, who explain the striker could be on his way out of the Italian side at the end of the season.

A recent report explained that Everton were one of the sides looking at Abraham ahead of the summer as they target a striker to replace Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

Gazzetta dello Sport claimed that Everton were one of the sides ‘in the front row’ and ready to make a move, although they cited a potential €75m asking price from Roma.

CM’s information is different, with them stating that Roma ‘could evaluate’ a sale so long as they receive an offer of ‘more than €40m’.

They also explain that Abraham could be on his way out of Rome in the summer having slowly fallen from an indispensable player to one with ‘few too many’ appearances on the bench.

That has led to the sirens ringing and the ‘Premier League now calling’ for him. There is no specific mention of Everton on this occasion, just Aston Villa and ‘other Premier League clubs’ taking an interest.

The Toffees are certainly likely to be among them and a €40m figure would be far more achievable than the €75m that was previously cited, as long as they stay in the Premier League of course.
