Celtic have this week been working on multiple outgoings as they build their budget for incomings this summer.
Getting a few members of the squad off the wage bill can only assist Brendan Rodgers as he then tries to bring players of a highly quality, or at least of a better fit and with more commitment, in through the door at Celtic Park.
The Scottish Premiership champions have been in negotiations with German clubs for multiple deals, and one of those involves Maik Nawrocki. The 24-year-old arrived at Celtic in July 2023 from Legia Warsaw, and last season he struggled to really have any role at all.
Picking up less than 300 minutes of action in total, the defender often struggled to even get on the Celtic bench, and is clearly someone who Brendan Rodgers doesn’t see as a key member of his squad.
Florian Plettenberg reports Nawrocki is now set to join Hannover 96 on loan with an option to buy next summer. He’s already completed his medical and an announcement is thought to be on the way.
