As Tottenham prepare to welcome AC Milan in the Champions League for the second leg of the last 16, the Italian media have been interviewing a number of people once related to Spurs.

TuttoMercatoWeb managed to get hold of Harry Redknapp on Tuesday, while Gazzetta dello Sport sat down with Joe Jordan on Wednesday.

The newspaper wanted to talk about the former Tottenham assistant manager about various subjects, with one of them being Harry Kane.

After all, the England international is the London side’s biggest threat to the Milan defence, who will be hard pressed to stop the in-form striker from finding the back of the net on Wednesday night.

If they do, they will have a chance of capitalising on their 1-0 win in the first leg and getting through to the next stage of the competition, but they have been warned by Jordan, who spared no time to praise the 29-year-old for his work ethic.

He said: “I’ll tell you this: when I saw him for the first time, he was 17 years old and was training with the reserves. During the first session with the first-team, he remained for an extra hour for shot practice. One, two, three, five times. He was obsessed with improving. A machine.”

At Tottenham since 2004, Kane made his breakthrough in London following a loan spell at Leicester, and has never looked back since.

Over the past 10 years or so, he has made 422 appearances for Spurs, scoring 268 goals and assisted another 63 along the way.
