Last month, we covered claims from Colombia which stated there’s disagreement between Luis Díaz and Liverpool over the star’s contract extension at Anfield.

A ‘confidential’ report from Tuesday’s edition of Sport claims Barcelona are ‘very attentive’ to the forward’s situation at Liverpool.

The La Liga side looked at the 27-year-old in the summer window, but the deal didn’t take shape.

Sport state it’s more difficult to take him away from Liverpool, but they could be provided with a new opportunity to sign him.

The Colombia international’s deal lasts until 2027, and the report states his entourage has ‘a lot of anger’ because Arne Slot’s side haven’t improved his contract.

Díaz’s representatives have very good ties with the Catalan club and the current ‘mess’, relating to his personal situation, at Liverpool has put Barcelona on alert. The report adds the South American, for his part, wants to make a switch to the Camp Nou.

Sport state Hansi Flick’s side are well aware of the player’s situation at Liverpool, and if there are no developments over his renewal, Barca could have a chance to sign him.

Without a renewal, Liverpool could still make it difficult for Barcelona to sign Díaz and this isn’t something the newspaper has taken into account.
