Fali Ramadani continues to work to try and find a solution for his client Federico Chiesa, and according to countless reports in the Italian media the agent has flown to London to advance a transfer.
Given Tottenham Hotspur were strongly linked in Italy at the end of last week that’s inevitably seen the assumption that Ramadani is trying to convince Spurs to go through with any interest and make an offer to Juventus.
Chiesa has less than a year left on his contract with the Turin club, there’s no sign of a renewal, and an exit is widely expected.
Around half the Premier League has been linked with the winger, and TuttoJuve quote journalist Gianni Balzarini as saying: “Chiesa is a Premier League player by his characteristics, just look at Liverpool’s repeated interest in him. Rumours say his agent Ramadani is in London these hours to make contact not only with Tottenham.
“London is a bit of a centre for English negotiations, so I wouldn’t be surprised if there was another destination besides Tottenham. So many clubs are interested but none have made a concrete offer so far. The starting price set by Juve is around €20m due to the looming deadline.”
That looming deadline refers to the player’s contract expiring and therefore the danger of losing him as a free agent. It’s also interesting to note the reported asking price has again dropped drop to €20m, having risen to €30m over Friday and the weekend.
The higher figure, with some even putting it at €30-35m, seemed unrealistic.
