Liverpool’s interest in Atalanta midfielder Ederson is now getting backed up in the Italian media.
Earlier this week, newspaper Tuttosport shared a story claiming that while scouting Teun Koopmeiners, the Reds ended up noticing his teammate and being impressed by him.
Now as CalcioMercato.it shares a story on Atalanta’s transfer window, they also claim that Liverpool are interested in Ederson.
It’s said that after being the man of the match in the Europa League final, the Brazilian ended up in the Reds’ sights’ for the summer market.
The story also points out that Richard Hughes, who’s set to be Liverpool’s new sporting director, played for Atalanta in his early days a a player. It remains to be seen whether he still has good connections with the Serie A side, though.
This isn’t the first time Ederson is linked to Premier League clubs, as Newcastle had also been said to be interested in him for a while. While the Serie A side will need to deal with the race for Koopmeiners, it seems they may soon have good bids for the Brazilian as well.
