Argentine midfielder Leandro Paredes could be on his way out of AS Roma after the Italian club brought in Clement Grenier. The 22-year-old spent the last season on loan at Empoli, and hasn’t been playing regularly this season after Luciano Spalletti decided to change his formation.
Paredes, once again, has been linked with a move to the Premier League and particularly to Liverpool. The player has been linked with a move to the Merseyside club several times in the past, and it could be a good opportunity for Liverpool to sign him.
According to a latest report on Gazzetta dello Sport, AS Roma have received offers for Paredes from Premier League clubs, although it’s made clear if one of those offers is from Liverpool.
Gazzetta claim Liverpool are the club most interested in Paredes, but Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are also keen on him.
AS Roma have put a price tag of €25m on Paredes, after the Argentine joined them only for €6m in the summer of 2015 from Boca Juniors. That profit would allow them to add another player before the window shuts.
Liverpool’s poor squad depth and lack of back-up quality has been exposed in January and Paredes could be an option for Jurgen Klopp. The Italian media are reporting that, overnight, fans have been pleading with Paredes, via Instagram, to stay at the club.
