Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson has now joined the Brazilian national team squad, which will be facing Uruguay in a friendly on Friday.

But it doesn’t mean he had to travel to South America for that. Brazil are once again playing in London, so the goalkeeper just needed a short trip to meet the team.

Alisson has spoken to journalists in a press conference, and for being one of the ‘locals’, there were many questions about his start at Liverpool.

“Every start has to be slow, but in my case the demand is already very big, for having been a record transfer for a goalkeeper. The demands of my performance is always for perfection,” Alisson said. (via Globo Esporte)

“It’s hard to get to perfection, but I work hard to get as close as possible. I’ve been getting it right and wrong, but I work to improve every day, that’s how we can grow in our profession.”

On the Premier League, the goalkeeper made it clear how high the level is: “I always have to be very concentrated. Liverpool are a team that works very hard in defence and gives few chances. Sometimes it’s two or three shots, so it’s three direct interventions I have.

“It’s different from when 10 or 15 balls come, and you need to concentrate all the time. In the national team it is the same thing, we have a team that gives few chances to the opponent.”

Alisson also spoke about playing with the national team in England for the first time: “I will feel more at home because it is my league’s country, I moved to England, to Liverpool. It’s a positive factor. I played at the Emirates two weeks ago, it’s a beautiful stadium with excellent grass, perfect for doing what we like best.”
