Borussia Monchengladbach’s Mahmoud Dahoud was strongly linked with a move to Liverpool during the summer, but nothing materialised in the end.

However, it was reported Liverpool are still keeping close tabs on the German midfielder and could return for him in the future transfer windows.

Dahoud reportedly has a release clause of €10m in his contract, but that can only be triggered next summer.

His performances this season haven’t been up to the mark, and Italian website Calciomercato believe that’s because of the uncertainty around his future.

It’s reported Liverpool remain interested in Dahoud, whilst Manchester City are also keen on him, but Juventus are ready to step up their interest.

The Serie A giants want to sign Dahoud in January, and are ready to offer €15m to the Bundesliga side.

Calciomercato say Dahoud is under strong pressure to renew his contract at Borussia Monchengladbach, which is set to expire in 2018.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is reportedly a big fan of the midfielder. It’d be interesting to see if Liverpool can beat competition from some of the biggest clubs in Europe to sign Dahoud.
