Trabzonspor have reached an agreement in principle with Rangers midfielder John Lundstram ahead of the summer when he’s set to leave Philippe Clement’s side.

That’s according to BeIN Sports Turkey and journalist Erdem Şen, who report that the Turkish side have made their move for the midfielder ahead of him departing Rangers on a free transfer.

Lundstram has long been linked with a move to Turkey, where Trabzonspor in particular have been eyeing up a deal as he’s set to be available as a free agent.

The midfielder’s current contract with Rangers expires in the summer and there’s been no firms signs of an Ibrox extension, and Clement may want to go in a different direction.

Bein now report that Trabzonspor have made heir move for the Rangers man and reached an agreement in principle with him for next season.

According to Erdem Şen, the deal is ‘at the signing stage’ and Lundstram will be moving to the Turkish side at the end of his contract. There will be no transfer fee heading to Ibrox as he’ll be available on a free.

The belief is that a deal is done, negotiations have reached a happy ending and Lundstram will be heading to Turkey from Scotland in the coming months.
