There’s a claim in the Turkish media that Liverpool are interested in Kasimpasa defender Yasin Ozcan.

The 18-year-old is reportedly being chased by a host of European clubs after establishing himself with the Super Lig side.

According to Aslinda, Liverpool are one of those clubs chasing the young defender and they’ve made contact with Kasimpasa with regards to signing the youngster.

It’s claimed the Premier League side have been following Ozcan for a long time as they look to bring in upcoming players for the future.

There are no reports yet of any offers coming in from Liverpool, but the report says Turkish giants Besiktas are also monitoring his situation.

Despite his age, Ozcan established himself in the Kasimpasa starting eleven last season, making 33 appearances in the Super Lig.

His performances at either left back or centre back helped his club achieve an impressive 5th place finish in the league, finishing above the likes of Besiktas.

Ozcan is contracted to Kasimpasa until June 2026 after signing a contract with the Turkish club in 2023.
