Liverpool defender Dejan Lovren is set to join Russian side Zenit St Petersburg in an €8.5m + bonuses deal.
That’s according to RMC Sport journalist Mohamed Bouhafsi, who says a deal between the two clubs and the player has been agreed.
Lovren has been heavily linked with a move away from Anfield this summer having found himself fourth in the pecking order at the club this season behind Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip.
It had appeared that his next destination would be Italy, with several sides thought to be keen and Roma having tried to sign him last summer.

However, it appears he will instead be making the move to the Russian Premier League, with Zenit having finalised a deal for him.
According to Bouhafsi, they have agreed on an €8.5m deal, with added unnamed bonuses, to sign the Croatian this summer.
Lovren, meanwhile, have agreed a three-year deal with Zenit, although the journalist has no information on what he will be earning at his new club.
The move will bring an end to a six-year stay on Merseyside for Lovren, who joined the club in a £20 m deal from Southampton in 2014.
