At the start of the month, we reported Liverpool and Leicester‘s interest in AIK Solna’s young striker Alexander Isak, who has been dubbed as the next ‘Zlatan Ibrahimovic’.
The 17-year-old has nine goals to his name this season, and his performances have caught the eye of several top European clubs.
According to Swedish website Expressen, AIK Solna have found an agreement to extend the contract of the Swedish striker.
Expressen say Isak is expected to leave the club for a record transfer fee, and 10% of that will go the player (up to a certain sum).
It’s reported scouts from top clubs have been watching Isak, including Liverpool and Leicester.
However, Liverpool and Leicester City could face competition from the likes of Manchester United, Paris-Saint Germain, Inter and AS Roma.
A transfer in the near future wouldn’t be prevented by this contract signing, but would certainly help the player’s cub get a much better fee for him.
