Linked with Tottenham, Arsenal and Chelsea in the past, another Premier League club has entered the race for Marcelo Brozovic, according to Tuttosport, but this time, the interest comes from up north.

The Italian newspaper published an article on Monday in their print edition that Liverpool are now very interested in the Croatian star, who burst onto the scene for Inter last season, showing enough to earn a starting spot for his country at this summer’s Euros.

The 23-year-old has always been seen by the Italian media as the perfect opportunity for Inter Milan to make a big profit on a transfer that ultimately cost them around €8m.

Tuttosport say the Liverpool option is ‘not to be discarded’, which also applies to the aforementioned three clubs, as well as Atlético Madrid and Zenit St. Petersburg, were they to sell Axel Witsel.

The midfielder recently admitted he wasn’t sure what his future held, and a move to the Premier League has been touted for a long time now.

The Italian newspaper say a fee of around €30m (£25m) should be enough to convince Inter Milan to let their star go, as the potential profit would be too hard to refuse.

The ball is in Liverpool’s court.
