Liverpool appear to have set their sights firmly on the Bundesliga as they look at four potential signings in the summer.

That’s according to SportBILD, who say Liverpool have Hugo Larsson, Merlin Röhl, Castello Lukeba and Konstantinos Koulierakis on their list.

First Larsson, who the newspaper reports that ‘all top clubs’ currently want, and Frankfurt are willing to sell for €50m this summer.

They say his rapid progress in the Bundesliga has not gone unnoticed and Liverpool are one of the sides who are ‘watching him’ at this moment in time. They face competition for him, though as Arsenal, Tottenham, Manchester City and AC Milan also have him on their watchlist.

Frankfurt plan to make him their next ‘big win’ on the market but would like to delay any deal until 2026 as they believe the 20-year-old needs another year with them to ‘better competitive strength’ as he’s struggled with muscular injuries.

There are no such concerns about Röhl, who has been steadily developing since arriving at Freiburg in 2022.

The 22-year-old attacking midfielder has been attracting international attention and was the subject of two bids from Everton in January. Freiburg turned them down as they want significantly more than the €12m he is currently valued at.

They believe they can get what they want too as Liverpool are also keeping an eye on him alongside Newcastle and Crystal Palace.

Lukeba, meanwhile, will need a huge transfer fee if he is to be lured away from RB Leipzig. In fact, they are targeting a €90m sale when it comes to the defender. That’s the release clause currently locked into his contract.

According to SportBILD’s information, the defender and his entourage are planning a mega transfer for this summer.

That’s because they know Real Madrid were already interested last summer while Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United have also expressed their interest. There’s a deal to be done, but it will take a big fee to make it happen.

And it will be the same for Wolfsburg’s Konstantinos Koulierakis too. He came to the club from PAOK Saloniki in the summer and is already one of the ‘most sought-after’ defensive talents in Europe.

Scouts from across Europe were in attendance to watch him take on England with Greece in November but it is Liverpool ‘in particular’ who have asked about.

Wolfsburg don’t want to sell but hope for a fee of up to €40m in the next few years if they have to. Whether Liverpool would be willing to go that high remains to be seen.

The defender, though, is one of four names in the Bundesliga being actively looked at as the Premier League leaders clearly plan to bolster their defensive and midfield options.
