Liverpool and Inter Milan are ‘on the lookout’ for UD Las Palmas’ Alberto Moleiro, according to Saturday’s edition of AS.
The 20-year-old came up through the ranks of the Spanish club’s academy and made his way into their first team in 2021. He’s been a regular since the 2020/21 season and has three goals and four assists from 26 games this season.
Moleiro is enjoying his first season in La Liga, and Liverpool and Inter have him on their agenda.
It’s claimed both the Reds and the Serie A side ‘have been working for months’ to try to secure the winger’s services in the summer window.
Las Palmas are aware of the interest shown by these two clubs. AS state if one or both of them were to take the definitive step to secure Moleiro’s services, the Spanish club feel it would be best for all parties to carry out a transfer.
The Spain U21 international’s deal lasts until 2026 and it has a €60m release clause, but the newspaper states Las Palmas would be open to selling him for around €25-30m.
Arne Slot is expected to replace Jürgen Klopp at Anfield next season and AS claim Moleiro would fit perfectly under the Dutchman. The report also explains that Liverpool’s interest isn’t new as they tried signing him two years ago.
As well as Liverpool and Inter, Real Betis and Villarreal have also shown interest in the attacker.
